The gap no one names

Working hard was never the problem!

The gap for most students isn't effort,
it's knowing what actually gets them hired

We run one-off industry sessions inside colleges that reveal the specific blind spots between what CS/IT students are taught to chase and what actually gets them hired, trusted, and retained.

The arc of a career transition

Three gaps students need to cross

Career Direction

The Awareness Gap

Understanding which roles actually exist, what they demand day-to-day, and how to pick a path with eyes open instead of following the crowd.

Job-Ready Capability

The Skills Gap

The specific things, communication, proof-of-work, ownership signals — that separate a student who interviews well from one who just "knows stuff."

The Execution Gap

How hiring actually works from the inside, what interviewers look for beyond correct answers, and how to show readiness under pressure.

What a session actually looks like

“You have projects; but can anyone tell?”

Most students have built things. The blind spot: their projects read as homework, not as evidence of judgment. This session dissects what makes the difference, scoping decisions, tradeoff articulation, the README nobody reads, and gives students a concrete lens to rewrite their project descriptions as proof of thinking, not just proof of completion.

Sits in the SKILLS GAP track. 60–90 min, interactive, shaped to the batch's year and branch. Works as a standalone session for any CS/IT group in pre-final or final year.

Who's behind this

Working engineers. Not trainers.

Illustration: three engineers connected, sharing knowledge forward

We're engineers with experience in leading companies like American Express, PayPal, JP Morgan, and Microsoft, building production systems, shipping code, sitting in the same standups and review cycles your students are about to enter. We made the campus-to-industry transition recently enough to remember exactly what confused us, what no one told us, and what ended up mattering far more than we expected.

That's the point: the sessions draw on first-hand, lived experience, not secondhand career advice. We're not here to motivate. We're here to make visible the specific things students usually discover six months too late.
